We interviewed Lana (DJ Amely), CEO of Conversion Club, to reveal her path in traffic arbitrage – from the first bays to the organization of large-scale international events that bring together professionals from different parts of the world. Lana tells us how she managed to combine her career with her family and how she draws inspiration. Her approach to criticism, friendly connections with colleagues, ideas for new conference locations, and bold plans for 2025 demonstrate how the true power of teamwork and personal leadership is formed in this dynamic industry. Ready to find out what other surprises Conversion Club has in store for you? Read the answers to our questions from the company’s founder and CEO.
I got into traffic arbitrage more than six years ago when I started exploring new markets. At the time, I was looking for a job that would allow me to combine it with my family and, if necessary, also work on the road. At the time, I was living in Malta, where iGaming is very developed, and that is still the case today.”
I am inspired by everyone – both big and small names in the industry. It is important for me that people grow with me. I have many friends who have been supporting me since I first started my journey in this field as a junior. We still maintain a warm relationship and know what’s going on in each other’s lives.
Unfortunately, I don’t have the opportunity to combine music and events now due to lack of time with two children. However, I really want to get back into music and start writing tracks in the studio again when I have more free time.
I’m okay with criticism. It’s like with YouTube videos: when you have hundreds of thousands of views, there will always be at least one or two negative reviews. I react to feedback after conferences in the same way – if it’s adequate, I listen to it. If it’s just hate, I take it as a small percentage of the negative feedback that will always be there. As for dismissals, I don’t fire anyone after events. This is a common experience that we go through together and become better.”
Our project is growing rapidly now. And we are preparing to launch another global conference. We are looking for a new location in Europe to have three global conferences by 2025 – one in Ukraine, one in Poland, and the third in a new European region. The whole team is actively working on optimizing the map of our events to make everything as efficient as possible.

I have never felt pressured or hated as a woman in this predominantly male industry. For me, it even adds interest to my work. Besides, I see more and more women entering the market. I believe that the main thing is to be a good specialist and be able to do your job well, and gender does not matter.”
Yes, almost all of the people who appear at Conversion Conf as speakers are my friends. And we maintain warm relationships. With many women from our industry, we are not just acquainted, but we often meet, have dinner and share experiences. In arbitration, it is very important to combine friendship with work, because it is a small industry where everyone knows each other. And I am very pleased to communicate with people from our industry when we can talk not only about work but also about something personal. We have a rather specific lifestyle that differs significantly from other areas, so such conversations help us understand each other better and build warmer relationships.
Dinner with speakers in Warsaw
I have been driving traffic since 2019. At first, I worked as an internal media buyer in a Ukrainian casino, going through all the stages and gaining significant experience. After that, I worked solo, driving traffic through apps. Currently, all advertising for Conversion Club goes through my accounts, although I have already hired people to launch campaigns, as I don’t have enough time for this. However, I can get involved whenever I need to. I also started Conversion Conf in 2023 with an advertising launch, and then transferred it to the media department. In our industry, it is important to understand all its aspects, so I went all the way on my own.”
We have big plans for 2025! We have already sold more than 40% of the stands for our conference in Warsaw. And we expect this year’s event to be 20% more successful than the previous one. Warsaw was a real achievement for us, as it was a new geo, and we were able to combine the Ukrainian arbitration market with the global one. Now we are also actively promoting a new conference in Europe. It will be a surprise. We have even rented a stand at Sigma Malta this year to talk about our plans. And you can still join us!
For us, the end of December is a time for vacations, because our team is ending the year with two big events. These are two events in Bangkok:the Conversion Club meetupandawards presentation at AW Bangkok. These are intense events, so we give the team a chance to rest. And we will start with new events in February, so we invite everyone to register!
I would say it’s the conference in Warsaw. We are proud of this event as a team, because it was a risky decision to enter a new geo, where there were no similar conferences before. However, we were able to attract world-class speakers and help Ukrainian media teams make their mark.”

Mistakes happen all the time, especially in the field of event management. We are constantly analyzing small mistakes that may have occurred to improve each next conference. So keep an eye on our events – we strive to make each next one even better!
