At Stars Partners, we’ve always believed that business can — and should — carry social responsibility. That’s why we’ve prepared this interview for Panda Media, featuring our Head of Brand Marketing, Yuliia, to introduce our heartfelt charity initiative: Stars Paws. What started as a simple idea has now become a meaningful part of our company culture. And most importantly, we’re looking to bring more compassionate hearts into this growing movement.

What is Stars Paws?

Stars Paws is a charity project born from a simple wish to do good. We collect donations at exhibitions by offering our branded merchandise in exchange. Stars Partners then doubles the donated amount. With the total funds, we purchase essential supplies for animal shelters — food, medicine, bedding, and more.

How did the idea come about?

I’ll tell you a little secret — it was a spontaneous decision during an exhibition in Malta. There’s a big problem there with old horses not getting enough food. That’s when I thought: wouldn’t it be great if all the merch we have at our booth didn’t just end up in hotel rooms as useless stuff, but actually helped someone? That’s how the idea to exchange it for donations was born. And just two months later, at the next exhibition, we launched it as a full charity project.

How do you choose which shelters to support?

We choose the shelters that need help the most — usually those without sponsors or any support from the government.

How do you ensure the money is used responsibly?

We never give money directly. We buy everything the animals need ourselves — food, medicine, beds, and so on. We always ask the shelter what exactly they need, and then we bring it to them. We also take care of all the reporting. After each visit, we publish a detailed report on our website with photos, videos, and receipts.

You visited the Protectora BCN shelter in Barcelona. What was that like?

It was very emotional and sad. We didn’t feel proud for helping — instead, we felt a bit heartbroken, because we still can’t help as much as we want to. That feeling became the reason to grow the project. Now we’re actively looking for partners who are ready to join us and help make a bigger impact.

Which stories touched you the most?

The most painful stories are always about animals that were abandoned or thrown out. I will never understand people who get a pet and then leave it on the street. These kinds of stories break my heart again and again.

Were there moments when it felt too difficult to keep going?

To be honest, there weren’t any moments like that. We have a very strong team that always breaks through walls if needed. So from the very beginning, I was sure we could handle any challenge.

What does this project mean to you personally?

That we can truly help. We show kindness through action, not just words. For me, the biggest win would be seeing other companies join us.

What’s the hardest part of running Stars Paws?

The hardest part is getting people to take action. Everyone gives us a lot of praise and says we’re doing great, but we’d love it even more if they donated more too (laughs)

What’s next for Stars Paws?

In scaling it up. We’re looking for partners who will support us in this mission — so together we can help even more shelters.

Do you see Stars Paws becoming more than just a corporate project?

Without Stars Partners, this project wouldn’t exist. It’s a shared dream and the result of huge teamwork from the Stars crew. We’re really proud that our company starts initiatives like this. And we truly believe that together we can reach great heights in business — and also do a lot of good along the way.
